Beauty, intelligence, and a whole lot of personality: that’s what you’ll get if you adopt Mars! This spunky 5-month old came to us at 6 weeks old with her mom and 7 siblings after they were abandoned. Despite spending most of her life in a shelter, Mars is an amazing and well-adjusted pup looking for the person to take her home! Mars has been on several field trips out of the shelter and is so loving with everyone she meets. Her favorite thing is rolling on her back in the grass. She is a great walker on a leash and knows several commands. She lays patiently at your feet when out at restaurants or taking a break on the trails, and her smoky-gray markings and beautiful green eyes turn heads wherever she goes! So far, Mars has gotten along with every dog we’ve paired with her. She is friendly and playful, but can sometimes get overwhelmed with larger, rambunctious dogs. While not guaranteed, we strongly believe that Mars is largely Belgian Malinois. She would thrive in a home with someone familiar with the breed, or someone with an active lifestyle who can provide continued mental stimulation, enrichment, and socialization.
Billy is a crowd favorite at the shelter; ask any member of the staff and they won’t be able to resist telling you how wonderful he is. This big-boned brown tabby is adaptable and ready for anything life has to throw at him, including other cats, young children, and the occasional passing skunk. Billy is playful and interested in the other cats (even though they sometimes don’t want to play with him), and gentle with human visitors. His laid-back demeanor would fit in anywhere, whether you’re looking for a shop cat or a family pet, and he should get comfortable quickly in his new home. Sometimes a cat is just a cool cat, and Billy definitely fits the bill. He would make a great first-time cat for anyone looking to explore the feline side of life, and a loyal companion for an experienced friend of cats.
