HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — This weekend is National Adoption Weekend in the U.S., and the McKamey Animal Center is lowering adoption fees to celebrate.
From September 15 through 17, pet adoptions will cost only $25 at McKamey in Chattanooga.
Cat and dog adoption fees are generally priced between $50 and $400, according to their website.
They currently have more than 60 adult pets in need of a home.
The $25 adoption fee only applies to dogs and cats over six months old. Puppies and kittens are not included, but they may still be adopted at full price. The fee also does not include leashes, collars, carriers or pet licenses.
Adoptions are first-come, first-served.
