These pets are ready to settle in at their forever home — your place!
Adopt Dolly, No. A513379, for free
Dolly is a beautiful German shepherd mix who is just over a year old. She is very sensitive — it takes her some time to get used to new things, so a patient and understanding home is a must for her.
Dolly spent some time in a foster home that allowed us to gather a lot of information about her. She is housetrained and will alert you when it’s time for her to go out to potty.
She gets attached to her family quickly, so she’ll be your new best friend forever in no time. She is also extremely smart and easy to train.
She loves to play fetch and is a whiz at catching treats in mid-air. In fact, she has a laser-like focus when treats are involved, so additional training will be easy.
Dolly has gained such a big fan in one of the staff members at Pasadena Humane that her adoption fee has been sponsored.
This sweet girl will need to be introduced to things slowly and receive reinforcement that everything will be OK. Once she’s comfortable, she’s going to be a lot of fun and will make someone a great companion. Maybe that someone is you?
The regular adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines.
View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment on the website. Adoptions are by appointment only, and new adoption appointments are available at 10 a.m. Sundays and Wednesdays. Walk-ins are available from 2-5 p.m. every day.
Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email. pasadenahumane.org
Arcadian, No. A513942, is a big guy with a big heart
Arcadian is an 80-pound lap dog in the shape of a shepherd mix.
He has been out with the Pasadena Humane Mobile Outreach team and they have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He’s super friendly, easy to train and walks right next to you on a walk. He’s very quick to make friends with everyone who he meets.
He will often place a gentle paw on your lap to prod you to give him some pets, then replace that with his head, then the rest of his body if you allow it. He just wants to be close and snuggly.
Arcadian also appears to be friendly with dogs — he has met a few at the shelter and seems to want to play with them. He might be a great buddy for another large dog.
If you’re ready for all the love you can handle, you might be ready for Arcadian!

Double the love with Casey and Sonny
Casey and Sonny, age 6, are two charming brothers who are a dynamic duo. They were living surrounded by love with their mom and sister when their owner passed away. Their owner’s friend and a foster caregiver have been searching for a forever home for them, but time is running out.
Casey is playful, while Sonny is gentle, but this bonded pair are inseparable and complement each other perfectly. Both have their mother’s stunning orange fur and are a joy to watch as they explore and play together.
Casey starts out shy, but once he’s warmed up to you, he will ask for tummy rubs and will play with food puzzles and toy wands. Sonny is sweet and confident, reminding you when it’s time to eat and sleeping under covers on top of the bed.
Both boys are fully fixed, chipped, vaccinated and current on all medical needs. They even come with a special swag package to help them settle into their new home. The first step to bringing them home is to visit lifelineforpets.org/orange-family.html
