SEATTLE — Frankie is a 3-year-old Saint Bernard and Labrador mix who has been looking for a family at Seattle Humane since April.
Humane said she was transferred there from an overcrowded shelter in Grant County. Seattle Humane believes she was left chained up outside most of her life before entering the shelter system.
The shelter said although Frankie had a rough start, Frankie is very smart and affectionate. They also noted she is making great progress in her training, and knows a number of tricks, and is ready to learn more if given enough treats.
Frankie loves spending time with people and is very cuddly, Humane said. Frankie has a mixed history with other dogs and would need to meet any potential canine companions at Seattle Humane.
Due to having lived outside most of her life, Humane said it will take Frankie some time to settle into her new home, and her family will want to continue her training to help her have a successful transition.
