Meet Gringo, Willow and Hansel, this week’s Pets of the Week in the San Gabriel Valley – San Gabriel Valley Tribune

(Left) All is calm and bright with Gringo around. This gorgeous 5-year-old male cat is available for adoption from Lifeline for Pets. (Middle) Willow, No. A512171, is 5-years-old and as charming as can be. She is available for adoption from Pasadena Humane. (Right) Hansel is the perfect package of looks and personality. These pets are ready to settle in at their forever home — your place.

Gringo, is handsome and friendly

Yes, all will be calm and bright with this awesome guy. It’s hard to believe Gringo is still waiting for his fur-ever home. He is just about purr-fect. He has a gorgeous flame point fur coat, beautiful green eyes and is cuddly and friendly with everyone  — even other cats.

Besides that, he’s healthy and totally vetted and microchipped. He would do best with someone who works from home to give him lots of cuddles and attention. A couple or single person would be ideal. A friendly resident cat would be nice, too. Gringo is 5-years-old and hoping to have a home for Christmas.

Beautiful Willow, No. A512171, is easy to love

Willow is a beautiful brown tabby who ended up at the shelter after her people had to move. Willow can take a little time to warm up to new people, but she is easily won over with a couple of snacks!

This 5-year-old girl is something of a foodie. She has a fondness for crunchy treats and is happy to shower whomever brings her these yummy morsels with purrs and headbutts.

Willow has lived with a dog, so with a slow introduction, she will probably acclimate to another dog well (as long as he steers clear of her treats, that is.)

Because Willow is 5 years old, she can be adopted by anyone age 60 and older at no charge thanks to Pasadena Humane’s “Seniors for Seniors” program.

Normally, the adoption fee for cats is $100. All cat adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines.

View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment on the website. Adoptions are by appointment only, and new adoption appointments are available at 10 a.m. Sundays and Wednesdays.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email. pasadenahumane.org

Hansel, No. A511642, is an easy-going dude

Two-year-old Hansel is the most handsome Akita you’ll ever meet! Hansel has a lot of puppy playfulness and exuberance, but he also has a quiet and mellow personality that gives him the look of an overgrown 95-pound teddy bear.

Hansel loves playing with toys. He is a self-fetching machine who can’t seem to wait long enough for people to throw the tennis ball, so he throws it to himself, then trots around like he’s found the best prize ever! Then he is happy to relax and contemplate what bark is made out of on a tree.

Hansel has been out with the Pasadena Humane Mobile team and they have given him a five-star rating. He enjoys meeting people, rolling over for belly rubs and being an easy-going dude.

Come meet this supermodel today!

The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines.
