Meet our Pet of the Week, Rook! This 1-year, 6-month-old Pit Bull Mix is as smart as he is handsome. Rook is a bundle of joy who will be your laughter and loyal companion in no time. 

Rook is an energetic and silly guy who loves his zoomies and playful bursts of energy. But he isn't all about the play, he's smart and eager to please. He already already knows how to sit on command and is overall well-mannered. Rook would benefit from continued training and will accept treats gently.  

Once Rook has had his fair share of walks, playtime and laughter, he would love a cozy nap at your feet. Through all the silliness and excitement, he has a big heart and sweet nature. 

Rook would thrive in a home where he regularly socialize and exercise. Playgroup volunteers say he plays well with both male and female dogs. 

If you want to meet Rook, you can find him at the Jackson County Animal Shelter. Call the shelter at 541-774-6654 and press for adoptions. You can also visit the shelter at 5595 South Pacific Highway from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
