SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) – This week’s Pets with Potential come from the Springfield Humane Society.
Roscoe is a 5-year-old dog who loves food, people and walks full of things to sniff. Staff say he’s also a big snugglebug and would do best as the only pet in a home with no young children. His adoption fee is fully covered.
Dottie is a 5-year-old coonhound who is a huge people pup. She loves long cuddle sessions on the couch as much as she loves walking and hiking. She’ll do best in a home with a fenced-in yard for her to sniff around or a family committed to long leash walks. She does well with large, mellow dogs but not as much with cats. Her adoption fee is also covered by a kind donor.
And the shelter still has several puppies from their recent litter — Rikki, Jack, Bennie, and Jude. Staff say spring is a perfect time to adopt a puppy and start training as the weather warms up.
