After the passing of his dog, Das (44) had shared an emotional note on Instagram revealing that he could not be with his pet when it died in Goa because he was in quarantine in London. He said his wife, Shivani Mathur, was with the bulldog till the end. “For 11 wonderful years filled with more joy than anyone can imagine. For Goa where we ran away together and our little family had an adventure,” he wrote.
Das shared the photos of his dogs after a user on X, formerly Twitter, suggested he should adopt another dog. In his post, the comedian wrote that his dogs are named Stupid and Lucy. He said both the dogs had lived on his street and walked into his house a few months after Dr Watson died.
“Meet Stupid and Lucy. Names they already had by the way. Both lived on our street and walked into our house a few months after our dog Watson passed and now sleep at our bedside and never leave our side. Basically, I was adopted by them,” he wrote.

“Beautiful gesture and thinking. Thanks for this motivation. I was struggling with an adoption idea but you just helped me make a decision. Just guide on the process of adoption like vaccination or registration etc etc,” an X user commented. “I absolutely love how Stupid sleeps on your t shirts,” said another. “Watson sent them to take care of you,” wrote a third. “God bless you for giving them a home they deserve,” said a fourth.
