Meet Twix, a spirited 2-month-old Labrador retriever mix overflowing with energy and sweetness. She’s the last of her siblings, Milky Way and Snickers, to find her forever home. Ashley Garza with the Humane Society believes Twix will thrive in a family environment, especially one with kids.

Join the Houston Humane Society for a day of furry fun and philanthropy at the 42nd Annual K9 Fun Run + Walk. Taking place on May 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mason Park, 541 S 75th St., this event promises excitement for both dogs and their human companions.
