MOUNT PLEASANT, TEXAS — On Oct. 30, Mid America Pet Food issued a voluntary recall of its Victor Super Premium Dog Food Select Beef Meal & Brown Rice Formula due to a potential Salmonella contamination.
The recall was issued after a third-party conducted random sampling in which product associated with three lots of the formula tested positive for Salmonella. Impacted lots of the Victor Super Premium Dog Food Select Beef Meal & Brown Rice Formula include:
The formulas were produced at Mid America Pet Food’s facility in Mount Pleasant and were distributed to various distributors and retailers throughout the United States. According to Mid America Pet Food, this recall is separate and unrelated to its recall issued on Sept. 3 regarding its Victor Super Premium Dog Food Hi-Pro Plus formula.
According to the recall, no human or pet illnesses associated with the recall have been reported to date.
