(FOX 9) – A Minnesota dog earned the top individual honor at the Puppy Bowl on Sunday.
What we know:
Foxtrot, a Collie from Pet Haven of Minnesota, was named MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) of Puppy Bowl XXI on Sunday.
Pet Haven celebrated Foxtrot’s achievement in a social media post, saying they were “BEYOND psyched” about the honor. “This Collie boy played hard, and it paid off!” the shelter wrote.
The puppy showdown, which is played each year on Super Bowl Sunday on Animal Planet, featured dogs from animal rescues across the country, and ended with Team Fluff securing a 68-66 victory over Team Ruff, thanks to a last-second touchdown.
Animal Planet praised Foxtrot's determination, writing: “His determination and skill led to epic moments on the field!”

Foxtrot wasn’t the only Pet Haven representative on the field. Another local pup, Potato, also competed and helped push Team Fluff to victory.
