KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – More than 50 animals found their forever homes during Young-Williams Animal Center’s Subaru Loves Pets event.
Adoption fees were waived for cats and dogs older than six months from Oct. 25-28. They partnered with Grayson Subaru who made it possible.
“Subaru continues to amplify its efforts every year to find more homes for pets removing the barriers even just a little by removing the adoption fees, we’re getting more pets into homes,” Josh Holley with Young-Williams said.
More than 6.5 million animals were in shelters in 2023.
During the event, 28 dogs, four puppies and 21 cats were adopted.
The first 100 to adopt got a Subaru chew toy.
