JACKSON, Tenn. — One four-legged employee received an appreciation day for his hard work.
Wednesday is National Pet Therapy Day and the Positive Living Group recognized some of their fur-ployees.
Felix is currently in training to be a therapy dog and is nationally certified as a service dog. He works with people of all ages by providing them comfort when experiencing intense emotions.
Wednesday, he along with his other fur-ployees, received pup cups, lots of attention and belly rubs.
“He’s at a middle school, he goes all around helps them out with testing anxiety or having a melt down or anything like that. We come up here at night and in the weekends and we do play therapy. So, I am a play therapist, so he’s in there just playing along with the kids and just enjoying himself,” said Amanda Salas, Felix’s owner.
Bandit, an emotional dog, and Elizabeth, an emotional monkey, were also honored Wednesday.
