ORLANDO, FLA. — As the pet industry gears up for Global Pet Expo 2024, held March 20 to 22 in Orlando, brands from each corner of the industry are coming forward with new innovations supporting pet health and wellness. Matrix Partners, a brand strategy, design and marketing communications firm exclusively serving pet industry companies, is helping its pet food and treat clients spread the good word ahead of this year’s tradeshow.

Charlee Bear, one of two pet nutrition brands by Gott Pet Products, will show off its new-and-improved Grain Free Meaty Bites at booth #217. Freeze-dried protein is combined with pieces of fruit and vegetables in these low-calorie dog treats, and the formula also features probiotics to support digestion. According to the company, recent updates to the package design are intended to help Charlee Bear Grain Free Meaty Bites stand out on the shelf.
Frankly Pet will exhibit a new addition to its collagen-packed dog chew line — Peanut Butter Beefy Chew Sticks — at booth #1987. According to the company, the highly digestible chews include 98% collagen sourced from US cattle, which helps support skin and coat health, as well as joints, nails and teeth, in dogs. The company will also showcase its Peanut Butter Beefy Puffs, a recently launched flavor of dog snacks that offer high digestibility and natural sources of collagen, glucosamine and chondroitin.
W.F. Young will highlight its latest pet treat line, Honest to Goodness, at booth #1246. Honest to Goodness Plant Snacks offer a new plant-based treating option for dogs while also providing functional health benefits. The line includes six formulas — Happy Feet, Mellow Belly, Way to Glow, Golden Years, Good Vibes and Buddy Boost — each touting between one and three functional ingredient inclusions, a postbiotic, and a marine-based microalgae oil to support overall health and wellness in dogs.
Natoo Pet Foods, a US brand by Brazil-based PremieRpet, will be exhibiting at booth #734, where it will debut a new flavor of its Crunchy Biscuits for dogs. The new Oats, Banana and Honey Flavor is available for both large and small dogs, with both varieties formulated with prebiotics and fiber, antioxidants, biotin and zinc, and carbohydrates to support digestion, immunity, skin and coat health, and energy levels in dogs.
RAWZ Natural Pet Food will showcase its latest single-protein, grain- and meal-free cat food formula at booth #1050. The Limited Rabbit Recipes for Cats includes marine microalgae oil, and each kibble piece is coated in freeze-dried raw rabbit protein. The recipe is free from egg, potato, corn, rendered fat, dairy, wheat, soy and canola oil ingredients, according to the company.
As seen at SUPERZOO 2023, Shepherd Boy Farms will highlight its Freeze-Dried Raw Goat’s Milk Super Blends for dogs and cats at booth #744. The unique format provides shelf stability and convenience for pet owners, according to the company. The meal supplement is formulated with milk from pasture-fed goats, as well as organic produce.
Veterinary Formula, a brand by SynergyLabs and Matrix Partners’ latest client, will present new package designs and reformulations to its Smart Vitality Premium Supplements, at booth #4250. The line, which includes Eye Health & Tear Stain, Pet Calm, Skin & Coat, Ultimate Hip & Joint, Complete Probiotic, and Senior Support soft chews for dogs and cats, is vet-formulated and packaged in tubs with QR codes that direct pet owners to detailed information about each product.
