DENVER (KDVR) — The River North Art District is gaining a new off-leash dog park, but unlike the other off-leash parks, this one comes with alcohol.
Skiptown is a 21-and-up bar and park that allows dogs to roam off-leash inside and outside. There are locations across the country, and there’s about to be one in the Mile High City.

In Denver, it’s illegal to let your dog off-leash unless it’s in a designated off-leash enclosure. By the end of this summer, you can expect this off-leash space to open at York Street Yards in RiNo.
The new bar will have splash pads for the pups and local beers and other beverages for the parents. Besides free roaming space, it will also offer doggy daycare, grooming and dog training.
“We set out to raise the standard of pet care across the country. We want to make it
easy for dogs and people to live their best lives,” said Meggie Williams, Skiptowns founder and CEO. “Denver dog parents should expect ‘an upscale retreat for dogs and humans.’”
If you want to visit the park with your dog, all you have to do is download Skiptown’s app, register and verify your furbaby with vaccines and vet records.
Whether you’re looking for real-life doggy heaven or just a new bar to pet some pups, there’s going to be another off-leash spot in town for letting your dogs out.
