NEPTUNE CITY, NJ. — Nylabone, a Central Garden & Pet brand, recently announced its donationof chew toys and treats valued at over $1 million, as well as monetary contributions, to animal welfare groups in 2024. The donations were made through the Nylabone Cares™ program, which supports non-profit organizations in the United States and Canada.

Throughout this year, Nylabone has donated more than 100,000 chew toys and treats to over 750 organizations, including American Humane, America’s VetDogs, Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, and the ASPCA.

The donations aim to promote non-destructive behavior in shelter animals and therapy dogs, allowing them to safely satisfy their urge to chew. In addition to chew toys and treats, the brand supplied 1,6000 enrichment toys to help alleviate the stress and boredom that can affect shelter animals.

“Not only are we dedicated to providing safe ways for dogs to satisfy their natural instinct to chew, but we are also committed to helping dogs in need find happiness and enrichment through chewing,” said Glen S. Axelrod, president and chief executive officer of Nylabone Products. “As pet parents ourselves, we are proud to support the shelters and rescues that work tirelessly to help dogs find loving forever homes.”

Nylabone didn’t stop there, the brand also collaborated with several other charities including the National Breast Cancer Foundation, American Humane’s Military Working Dog Reunification Program and One Tree Planted.

In order to support pets and their owners in its local community, Nylabone organized a staff volunteer day at the Monmouth County SPCA. Employees also provided more than 1,200 meals to disadvantaged families in the community during the holiday season.

Nylabone’s contributions this year were made in support of Central Garden & Pet’s Central Impact program, which is committed to driving positive change by focusing on protecting the planet, cultivating communities and empowering its employees.
