OCHS adoptable pets: Riff and Raff are two very good boys

Here are two very good boys, Riff and Raff, who are looking for their forever family. They are both 4 months old and bonded siblings who would like to be adopted together. They love to be picked up, and they’ll start purring right away. They are cooperative about nail trims, and they are not destructive.

Riff, the orange and white male, acts as the big brother even though they are the same age. Riff is bigger, braver, and faster. He loves his brother most in the world and if they are separated, they cry for each other. Riff loves humans and will snuggle for hours, but he wants his brother nearby, too.

Raff, the all-black male, is the sweet and sensitive type. He doesn’t initiate playtime with his brother but he can keep up with him, no problem at all. He loves to chase Riff all day long and be held very close to a human for cuddles. He tends to be more timid than Riff, but he’s just as brave. He loves climbing the tallest cat trees and any bookshelves he can find.

Riff and Raff get along great with other cats and play nicely with small children. They aren’t yet sure what to think of canine friends. As always, we recommend an isolated room to start and slow introductions in a new home.

Riff and Raff are 4 months old. They are vaccinated and dewormed. They will be neutered when they are older. They are indoor only and would prefer to be adopted together. The adoption fee is $260 for both.

If you are interested in adopting, you can download our Adoption Application at tinyurl.com/oswego-humane-app, or you might even consider becoming a temporary foster caregiver. We would be excited (and pay all the bills!). You can email your completed application and any questions to info@oswegohumane.org

The Oswego County Humane Society provides services to promote and strengthen the human-animal bond through fostering-to-adoption programs, spay/neuter clinics, and humane education. The organization is designated under IRS code 501(c)3 as a charitable organization and registered with the New York State Charities. It is located at 29 W. Seneca St., Oswego.
