Miles has probably spent half his life in a kennel at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter.
The brown and white German Shepherd mix is about five months old and first came to the shelter in April. He's one of over 200 dogs needing a permanent home that can now be adopted without fees at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter.
In fact, all dog adoption fees this summer are being waived, with help from shelter transfer partner Nexus Pets, Arnall Community Funds and the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. The fees will be waived until Aug. 31.
“This generous donation allows us to extend our mission of finding loving homes for every animal in our care,” said Jon Gary, OKC Animal Welfare superintendent. “It helps us remove barriers to adoption and increase the chances our larger canine companions will find forever homes.”
