The big, strong cold front that will put Oklahoma below freezing for days hits later this week
With your updated rain snow timeline. I'm meteorologist, Jonathan Conor. We're looking northwest around five o'clock, rain is green, snow change over to blue at five o'clock. Likely blizzard conditions out in the panhandle snow showers mix over across the evening across northern Oklahoma. We may have some mix showers coming to KC by 10 p.m. About midnight. It is very brief. If we get snow, it's not *** high chance for OKC, 30% and it's *** dusting you get in the area highlighted in light blue, that's 1 to 2 inches and then you get west of Woodward. Snow amounts really ramp up. Dark blue is 2 to 6 and then the Panhandle is 5 to 8. All right. And that will be with some high end winds. And so there's *** blizzard, uh, legit blizzard warning out in the panhandle this afternoon this evening. And tonight, please watch out for that winds gusting 60 miles an hour, 65 miles an hour, really limited visibility. I highly suggest that you think twice about traveling through that zone, be really dangerous. Buffalo, um, down towards our net. That's *** winter weather advisory. That's for like 1 to 2 inches of snow that I already showed you and, uh, low visibility too. Now, tonight the winds ramp up, we have *** wind advisory. All the counties highlighted in 10, that's for wind gusts 40 to 50 that's through six o'clock tomorrow evening as the storm system pulls through. But we'll have high winds also. So that high wind warning in pink, that's gonna be for winds gusts in about 60 miles an hour. Northwestern Oklahoma. Could I have some minor power outages and some minor wind damage? Maybe some fences go down, maybe some trees come down. So, what do you have to do? Come back, pay us *** visit. I'm saying 456, 10 p.m. Chief Meteorologist Dame Lane, he'll have radar updates. He'll show you where the snow is. Blizzard conditions in the panhandle. Then he's gonna show you the big Arctic front that's still on the way later this week.

Dog owners can't leave their dogs alone outside for more than 30 minutes during freezing weather.The ordinance states that a dog is considered outside if it has access to an unheated doghouse or other unheated structure.
