OUR KOCO CREW WAS ON THAT SCENE NEAR SOUTHEAST 82ND AND SOONER LAKE JUST AFTER EIGHT THIS MORNING. CREWS WERE FIGHTING BACK THOSE FLAMES. AND WE KNOW THAT THE ONE PERSON WHO DID GET OUT IS SAFE. AND THEY WERE ABLE TO ALSO SUCCESSFULLY EVACUATE THEIR TWO DOGS. GOOD NEWS THERE. BUT UNFORTUNATELY, WE DID LEARN THAT ONE OTHER ANIMAL DID NOT MAKE IT. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WAS ONE CAT THAT DIDN’T MAKE IT. THERE WERE TWO DOGS THAT THE HOMEOWNER WAS ABLE TO GET OUT PRIOR TO TO OUR ARRIVAL AS WELL. WE CAN TELL YOU FIRE CREWS WORK

Just before 7:20 a.m. Friday, crews were called out to the 8500 block of Jenny Lane where a house had caught fire.
Oklahoma City Fire Department officials said there was one person at the home at the time of the fire, calling emergency crews for help from their bedroom as the fire erupted.
