Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's CNC department on Jan 1 started online registration process for pet dogs in the city.
By 6pm, 71 owners had registered 107 pet dogs. Initially, the registration process was to begin with just basic pet and owner information, but a vaccination certificate was also made mandatory at the last minute, leading to inquiries about the certificates on mobile numbers released by the CNC department.
In the coming days, AMC will publish a list of veterinary practitioners for dog vaccinations on its website. Additionally, arrangements are also being made for anti-rabies vaccines at AMC's dog sterilisation centres. In the second phase, RFID tagging and licensing will be implemented. The process requires applicants to upload details including Aadhaar card, electricity bill, property tax bill, PAN card, dog's name, photo, breed, gender and age and photo of the dog's living area. tnn
