A woman’s two dogs went missing, and one was found chained to a dumpster off Main Street.
The owner is happy to be reunited with her dog and is hoping to have the other back home soon.
Haleigh Shell drove around for days looking for her two dogs.
They ran away from her red bank home on October 21st.
So, Shell did what any desperate pet owner would do.
She went online to post photos of Buster, a black lab and, Dream, a German Shepherd.
Buster was found Wednesday. His two front legs were tied together, and he was chained to a dumpster behind a restaurant on Main Street.
“The people who found him tied up bathed him and fed him. They took really good care of him,” said Shell.
We were able to see surveillance video from outside the restaurant the night he was found by employees.
But, the camera didn’t capture who put him there.
“He barks at strangers, so I was kinda confused on how someone was able to come that close to him anyways, but he’s really friendly,” Shell said.
She fears what could have happened to him had he not been found.
Now, with buster home, the more she longs for dream’s return.
“I think since he was found that maybe she is close in the area, or it’s the next step to find her, but it definitely is harder knowing she’s by herself now,” she said.
