OSHKOSH (WLUK) — Oshkosh police are investigating after a deceased, emaciated dog was found in a dumpster.
Just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, police received a complaint that a deceased dog was found inside a metal dog kennel in a dumpster at a multi-tenant property in the 2100 block of Wisconsin Street.
The dog is described as a medium size female, black in color, approximately 3- 4 years old. The dog was severely emaciated.
At this time, officers are trying to identify the owner of the dog.
“Animal cruelty and neglect will not be tolerated in our community- these acts are both inhumane and unacceptable. If individuals find themselves unable to provide proper care for their pets, there are local resources available to assist,” police wrote.
