Outrage in Progreso over mass poisoning of dogs

The community of San Ignacio is dismayed after the mass poisoning of several dogs on the morning of Thursday, September 26. Neighbors on 58th Street between 35 and 37 discovered several dogs fainting, victims of a cruel act of poisoning.

Karla Cabrera, a local resident, reported the incident on social networks and also lamented the loss of her pet.

According to witnesses, security cameras captured an individual on a bicycle leaving a bag with poisoned food in the area, intended for stray dogs that usually frequent the area.

The incident generated alarm because of the damage to animals and the risk it poses to children who play on public roads.
