FROM PRATTVILLE-AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER
George is a 7-month-old male Gordon Setter/Duck Tolling Retriever mix who has already been neutered. He is an owner turn in because his owner doesn’t have enough time for him due to a medical issue. George is HANDSOME! His medium length coat is black with gorgeous brown markings. George weighs 39 pounds so he is a medium sized adult dog. This dog is amazing–he is active, playful, and would love life best with a family who is active. George would certainly need a nice, fenced yard where he could exercise and get the ‘zoomies’ out. He loves to play fetch; and he loves to play with a kickball. George enjoys long car rides and watching TV. He likes to have a piece of ice; and he is NOT food aggressive, but he is protective of his feed bowl. Even though he has finished eating–he likes to keep his bowl and is actually protective of his bowl. George is leash trained, house trained, and crate trained. You can tell by his extensive bio that he has been a very loved fellow; and his family hated to give him up. George would be good with other dogs and older children. George is a very special guy who is eager to begin life with a loving family. He will quickly bond with his adopter and be a wonderful new friend and family member.
Dog/puppy adoption fees are $100. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Your pet will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a spay/neuter certificate which will help with the cost of spay/neuter. Unless otherwise indicated under ‘special needs’ our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
