Adelle came to the shelter June 21, 2024 as a stray. She was only about 1-2 years old. She was named after the singer Adelle because she instantly was singing to us. Which happened to be ALL DAY LONG. I believe she was in a lot of pain, since she wasn’t in the best of health when she arrives. She was underweight and had a mostly blood in her urine. Also, her coat was in horrible condition.
Once we she was healthier, fit and eating properly, she was soon vetted. She was still singing daily to us and the other dogs. She even taught another dog to sing with her. They would have duets together. Adelle had turned out to be a beautiful brown, cream and white husky. She put on a few pounds; her new coat is definitely stunning. Also added to the positive things about her was her personality and delightful nature. She was the best. We could put her with any dog, and she would teach them to play properly. She would help the puppies out with their confidence. She soon became a volunteer favorite. However, she kept having issues and her UTIs, we couldn’t cure it with antibiotics. We had her test, x-ray and still nothing. We changed her food and put her on a probiotic. It worked and she was free and clear of infection.

She was adopted, to a previous adopter, on January 23, 2025. She had been at the shelter for 216 days. Adelle will have 2 other Husky’s at her new home so she can play until she is tired. Her new owner will be happy that she has someone to play keep her attention on. I hope she continues to sing. She is a Husky which is one of her characteristics.
It’s been quiet in the adoption room since she’s been gone. I am happy that she has found her forever home. However, the quiet will take some time to get used too since Adelle.
