Kids had fun dressing up with their pets, showing them off and racing chickens for 4-H at the Lincoln County Fair Friday afternoon.
Starting with companion animals, kids were encouraged to bring in their pets, from cats to lizards, and tell judges what they knew about the animal they were taking care of.
Then there was the dog costume competition, where kids were judged by the way they dressed up their dog and themselves.
Finally came chicken agility, the highlight of the night.
Three brave chicken trainers dragged their chickens on a leash through a designated obstacle course.
The winners of these competitions for the 2024 Lincoln County Fair were:
Champion — Companion Animal
Reserve Champion — Companion Animal
Reserve Champion — Dog Costume
Chicken Agility — First Place
Chicken Agility — Second Place
Chicken Agility — Third Place
Jacquelyn Wittstruck leads her chicken, Sophie, through the chicken agility course.
Reserve champion of the companion animals category, Riley Hill, shows off Cactus, her bearded dragon.
