Dog robots are being spotted more frequently, lately. Armies are deploying them on the battlefield and people are using them to help with daily chores. A recent video of a dog robot “on the loose” in a park is doing the rounds on the internet.
The viral clip captures the reactions of pet dogs taking their regular stroll in the park when a robo-dog enters the scene and tries to be “friends” with them. The video opens with a chihuahua running towards the robot, but it is taken aback by the machine. The dog robot, then, runs after a border collie who refuses to befriend the machine.
Sharing the video, X handle @gunsnrosesgirl3 wrote, “Dogs respond to a robot dog.”

With over five million views, the video ignited numerous reactions from dog lovers. A user wrote, “very pro science and engineering, but these are the kind of things that shouldn’t exist, and that opinion did not come lightly to me.” Another user commented, “Well… I’m sorry to say, but like the dogs, I too find it disturbing and wrong… Not that fond of robots.”
“Dogs can quickly sense that it has no soul,” a third user said. “The aliens have landed,” another user wrote.
Last month, a video of American YouTuber IShowSpeed testing a robot dog worth $100,000 (Rs 84 lakh, approximately) generated massive buzz online. The viral video showed the robot dog shooting fire at the YouTuber when asked to bark.
