Pet Food Experts adds FirstMate to distribution portfolio

PAWTUCKET, RI.
— Pet industry distributor Pet Food Experts (PFX) recently announced the addition of FirstMate, a family-owned pet food company from British Columbia, to its portfolio of distribution partners. 

By the end of December, PFX will have begun offering FirstMate products through its distribution centers across the United States.
FirstMate will be available across all major PFX regions including Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Ohio Valley, Midwest, Mountain, Pacific Northwest and West.
With this increased availability, FirstMate will now be able to offer retailers a wider selection of its products.

FirstMate’s recipes are veterinarian-formulated and feature premium ingredients such as wild-caught herring, anchovy, sardines, New Zealand beef, Australian lamb, cage-free chicken and cage-free duck in its dry formulations.
In its canned formulas, it offers salmon and albacore tuna, pork, chicken and turkey.
