Pet hair hacks: The $5 secret to removing pet hair quickly and easily could already be in your kitchen

A cattle dog owner has revealed her favourite way to remove pet hair from surfaces, like the sofa.

In a TikTok video, Zofi who owns pooches Zeus and Zia and runs the TikTok account @thezcattle dogs calls it “the best pet hair removal hack”.

The cleaning task was the latest in her attempt to deep clean her whole home one place at a time.

“This is the easiest way you'll get pet hair off your furniture, your couch, your car, literally anywhere you need to get pet hair off of,” she said in the clip.

For this hack you'll need a sponge, but Zofi used a Scrub Mommy, which costs just $5 at Coles.

“What you're going to do is take a clean, dry or slightly damp Scrub Mommy or any sponge and you're just going to scrape off all the hair,” she said.

Then Zofi showed how well the hack works by rubbing the sponge over part of her couch. She lifted the sponge up to show that lots of pet hair had been removed.

To remove the pet hair from the sponge, Zofi recommends using a microfibre towel or cloth to wipe the excess hair off. Once that's done you can keep cleaning.

“This is great for things that are really hard to get hair out of,” she said referencing the crevices of her sofa.

“It's the weirdest hack ever but it works and I love that.”

The hack was a hit with Zofi's followers who know the pain of having pet hair around their house and car.

“Testing this ASAP!!!!” one said.

“I have a husky German Shepard so THANK YOU,” a woman wrote.

“Oh my gosh I need to try this. I love my heeler but her hair is everywhere… lol,” commented a follower.

“I've had a blue heeler for 8 years now, this is genius! She sheds like crazy,” another posted.
