Need a little sweetness in your life with just the right amount of zoom? Meet Sugar, a 1-year-old, 45-pound mixed breed with ears so tall they practically pick up radio signals, and a heart as soft as a marshmallow.

Sugar isn’t just her name, it’s her whole vibe. She’s sweet, gentle and full of love, but don’t let that tender heart fool you. This girl has energy. Lots of it. She’s the perfect fit for someone with an active lifestyle: running buddy, hiking partner, fetch champion—you name it, she’s game. If you move, Sugar grooves.

She’s great with kids, other dogs and probably anyone who’ll toss a tennis ball or give her ear scritches. Her social skills are top-tier, and she’s mastered the fine art of being everyone’s best friend within minutes. Sugar’s smart as a whip, which means she’s eager to learn and pick up on routines faster than you can say, “Who’s a good girl?”

Sugar is affectionate, trusting and ready to love with her whole heart. She might offer a cautious sniff at first, but once she decides you’re her person, prepare for a lifetime supply of tail wags, loving eyes and full-body wiggles. Sugar is loyal, she’s tender and she’s got just the right balance of cuddle bug and energizer bunny.

Looking for a jogging partner with snuggle benefits? A dog who can keep up with your pace but still knows how to relax on the couch? Sugar is your girl.

She’s not just looking for a house, Sugar’s looking for a loving home. One where she can be herself: joyful, bouncy, sweet, and a little bit silly. So, grab your sneakers and clear your calendar! Sugar is ready to sprint, snuggle and steal your heart.

Meet Sugar today at our Dallas Animal Care Center (2400 Lone Star Drive, 75212), which is open from noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week! Like all pets from the SPCA of Texas, Sugar has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date on all her necessary vaccinations.
June is National Foster a Pet Month! If you foster an SPCA of Texas shelter pet until placement, you earn a free adoption
