Meet News 12’s Pet of the Week, Benjen!
Benjen is a dog at the Humane Educational Society (HES) ready to find his forever home.

HES says Benjen is a 9-year-old fluffy, sweet, chow mix and is searching for a no-so-quiet retirement home.
Benjen is fully housebroken, does great with other dogs, and would likely do well with cats too.
He’s very well behaved and is not destructive when left home alone.
HES says someone who could take Benjen on regular walks would be ideal.
He loves walks and is great on a leash.
Benjen also loves to run in the yard, and is known to get the big dog zoomies.
He will never turn down a game of tug of war, or a good Nylabone chew.
After a day of play, Benjen is content taking a nap and snoozing the rest of the day away.
HES says Benjen is very outgoing and is very friendly with everyone, however, he does get nervous around young children.
