Pet of the Week: Harper Marie!

LEXINGTON CO., SC (WOLO)- Meet Harper Marie! This sweet Doberman-Pinscher mix is 6 years old and has been waiting patiently for her ‘furever’ home at Lexington County Animal Services since September!

Shelter staff don’t understand why she’s been overlooked! Harper Marie is very well-mannered, is likely house-trained, knows commands sit and shake, is treat-motivated, walks well on the leash, is great with other dogs and kids, and would love to be your snuggle buddy this winter!

At 6 years old, Harper is calm enough for an older person, or playful enough to be paired with another furry friend. She’s the perfect size for your lap too! Not too big, not too small.

As we enter the holiday season, shelter officials want to encourage more to adopt, but to not adopt pets just as Christmas gifts. “You really need to make sure it’s a full commitment for the entire family, not just one person. And we want to make sure it’s a successful adoption, so spend some time with them, interact with them, if you have another dog, bring your dog, bring your kids; we want to make sure everyone gets along,” says Lisa Thomas with Lexington County Animal Services.

Harper Marie is ready to go home with you today for $40, which includes vaccinations, microchip, and preventatives. Visit her at 321 Ballpark Rd., Lexington.
