Pet of the Week: Luna

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – Meet Luna, a fluffy white sweetheart who is ready to become the queen of your home!

Luna is just under two years old, and she is a spayed female Alaskan Husky Malemute mixed breed who is currently at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter looking for her perfect new home.

Shelter staff say Luna was initially brought to the shelter with her brother. She had since been adopted, but was returned due to not being quite the right fit for the home. Her temporary owners said that Luna got along wonderfully with other dogs at the dog park, but was just not meshing well with the other female dog in the home. Shelter staff suggest that Luna might do well in a home without other dogs, where she would not have to share their space.

Luna was described as being kennel trained and housebroken, although she can evidently be quite vocal when put into her kennel.

She has a sweet, friendly personality, and she is looking for a new family to love. Shelter staff say she would do best with a very active family who will be able to keep her mentally and physically stimulated and take her on plenty of adventures.

If you are interested in meeting Luna or any of her friends at the Fairbanks Animal Shelter, please give them a call at (907) 459-1451.
