HaltonHillsToday, in partnership with the Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS), highlights a special pet in need of adoption every week.
Meesha is a lovable older angel looking for a loving home with her buddy, Dax!
Due to unforeseen circumstances and no fault of their own, they were surrender to us on April 28. Dax grew up as a puppy with Meesha and is now five years old, so they are a bonded pair looking for a home together.
Meesha is an outgoing, friendly girl. She’s a mastiff who’s a 120-pound gentle giant. Her kind eyes and greying face makes you want to get to know her, and then it’s so easy to fall in love with her.
Dax is an adventurous guy, but also mellow and easy-going. He’s an 81-pound lab/husky mix and a lovable, friendly boy. He looks up to his big sister, Meesha.
Dax is very ‘husky’ like in that he can be talkative and tell you about his day. He loves to play ball and enjoys car rides and travelling with his buddy, Meesha to new places. He can be reactive to other dogs and would not do well with cats.
Both dogs are house-trained, crate-trained and walk well on a leash. They are both well socialized with people and children, enjoying the company and attention.
