BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -Meet our Pet of the Week, Biscotti!
Biscotti is a Terrier and Cattle Dog mix looking for a loving, active home.
At just four months old, Biscotti is younger than Long Way Home Adoptables typically rescues, since they specialize in seniors and medical cases.
“Biscotti was actually adopted from a South Texas shelter as a baby, baby puppy in great health and then was returned a couple of days later not using his front legs at all,” said Executive Director of LWH April Plemons.
LWH took Biscotti in, and after a few days of crate rest, he was back to normal, being his active self on all four legs!
“The great thing when you’re getting a rescue pet or a mix breed dog, you’ll never find another one like them. That makes them unique,” added Plemons.
Plemons describes Biscotti as a friendly, social dog who has to say hello to everyone in the room.
“Thankfully, his foster mom is a vet tech, so he gets to go to the clinic every day, meet new pets every day and we think that’s part of why he is so social,” explained Plemons.
