BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -Meet our Pet of the Week, Denver!
Denver is a seven-month-old Labrador/Shepherd mix looking for his forever family.
Long Way Home Adoptables saved Denver from being euthanized with just hours to spare.
When they rescued him, he had scabies and an upper respiratory infection.
Denver has completed his medical treatment and he’s now perfectly healthy and ready for adoption!
“He doesn’t seem to bark, he gets along with other dogs, cats and kids, I mean there’s really nothing negative,” said Long Way Home Adoptables executive director, April Plemons.
Denver is also potty trained and knows several commands.
“We have been very fortunate that he’s been fostered with a local dog trainer here in town and so, you’re getting a good one,” added Plemons.
Plemons described Denver as a giant cuddle bug who will climb onto anyone’s lap for affection.
“He thinks he’s quite the tiny dog,” said Plemons.
