EUGENE, Ore. – Our Pet of the Week, Quartz, is a young and frisky Australian Cattle Dog mix who is a loving and active girl hoping to find an outgoing forever family to call her own!
Greenhill Humane Society officials said that 11-month-old Quartz is loves to play with balls and run around in the yard but is also very affectionate and runs over to hug her people! She would thrive with a family that will give her the opportunity to have lots of play time and outdoor activity, staffers said. Greenhill officials said that while Quartz would do well with other dogs, she’s looking for a kitty-free home and would be an ideal ‘bestie’ canine companion for any family willing to provide a structured lifestyle that includes daily exercise and snuggles. Quartz is spayed, microchipped, and will be up-to-date on vaccines prior to adoption, Greenhill staff said. The organization also said that in addition to Quartz’s adoption fee being waived, she is also eligible for Greenhill’s Foster-to-Adopt program. This program allows prospective families to foster animals ahead of adoption to see if it’s a good match with plenty of support provided by the shelter, Greenhill said.
Quartz was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
