BRUNSWICK COUNTY — This week’s Pet Pals are a pair of bonded brothers.
Happy is a 7-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 70 pounds. Jake is a 13-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who weighs about 27 pounds but could lose some weight.
Paws Place Rescue says they came in together as an owner surrender and would ideally be adopted together.
The rescue says Happy’s name suits him well because he is a playful pup who loves his toys. Jake is more of a laid-back old man who just wants to chill. Both dogs are friendly, affectionate and housebroken.
If you’re interested in adopting Happy and Jake or another pet, a meet and greet is required. For more information, visit their website.
