Tis the season to have fun with your furry friends and if you’ve been wanting to get photos of them with Santa, this is your chance!
The Friends of The Rebecca Weitsman Memorial Dog Park, also known as ODOG (Owego Dog Owners Group), are excited to host an event where you can capture special memories with your pets at ‘Pet Photos with Santa’ at The Rebecca Weitsman Memorial Dog Park!
This Saturday, December 16th, from 1-3 p.m., stop by the dog park located within Hickories Park in Owego. Bring your four-legged friends and watch for the signs guiding you to the festive photo shoot area.
For a donation of just $5 donation, your pet can strike a pose with Santa himself. The photos will be taken on-site and sent to you right away. Not only that, but they’ll also share the pictures on their social media accounts.
Please note that staging will take place in the park’s agility section during the event. This means that the area will be temporarily unavailable for training and other activities. However, you’ll have the chance to mingle with fellow pet lovers and enjoy some refreshments while you’re at the event. There will also be information available about the dog park and how you can get involved.
The Rebecca Weitsman Memorial Dog Park relies on the dedication of volunteers. As a nonprofit organization, its mission is to provide a safe space for canines and their owners to exercise and have fun. The park’s agility section even offers a place for athletic dogs to advance their skills. The board works had to secure funding to ensure the park can stay open.
Consider throwing the Rebecca Weitsman Memorial Dog Park as bone by supporting Pet Photos with Santa. If you can’t attend Pet Photos with Santa, you can make a secure online donation here.
