Pet Supermarket supports non-profits | Pet Food Processing

SUNRISE, FLA. — Pet supply retailer Pet Supermarket announced it has donated $712,473 to non-profits to help create “pawsitive” change during the holiday season. The retailer raised the funds through its 2023 Lend a Paw program, which seeks to support individuals, shelters and organizations that help animals.

Pet Supermarket raised $462,225 for The United States War Dogs Association, which honors military working dogs and their handlers. The association sends supplies to active-duty dogs, secures medications for retirees, and honors fallen four-legged heroes.

The retailer also raised $250,248 for Southeastern Guide Dogs, which included $10,060 in matching customer donations that were raised through purchases of Fromm Family Pet Food products. Pet Supermarket invited personnel from Southeastern Guide Dogs to its headquarters in Sunrise for a celebratory check presentation. The organization will use the funds to provide state-of-the-art guide-dog services to individuals with vision loss, as well as veterans and children in need, throughout the United States.

“We’re proud to end the year with these highlights from our generous community of pet parents and industry partners,” said Jennifer Gabelman, vice president of marketing at Pet Supermarket. “As we reflect on the season of giving, we look forward to another year of impact-driven collaborations.”
