Pet Wants appoints new VP of operations

CINCINNATI — Pet Wants, a direct-to-consumer fresh pet food company, has announced the appointment of Jessica Riedy as vice president of operations. Riedy will help the company streamline operations and strengthen support for franchise owners, according to the company.

Riedy spent years honing her operations management skills across various industries before taking the role with Pet Wants. She has managed teams both locally and remotely, and has spearheaded operations for a franchisee with multiple locations.

“Riedy’s extensive experience in team management, process implementation and franchise operations, combined with her personal commitment to pet wellbeing, positions her to significantly contribute to Pet Wants’ mission of delivering fresh, high-quality pet food across the nation,” the company said.

“The moment I learned about this opportunity, I could tell it was my dream role,” Riedy said. “I knew combining my love for operations with my passion for pets and their wellbeing was going to be incredibly fulfilling.”

Riedy’s focus in her new role will be on improving processes for franchise owners, streamlining operations, and ensuring the Pet Wants team works as a cohesive unit. She also plans to enhance the relationship between franchisees and the corporate team.

“My aim is to ensure that our franchisees feel heard, understood and supported,” Riedy said. “I’ve spent the past few months getting to know our franchisees, learning about the challenges they face and working with the operations team to streamline all their processes and procedures. That might mean vendor partnerships, retail buildouts, marketing strategies or pricing. It could be anything, but it’s really about making sure franchisees know we are here for them first and foremost.”

DeNita Carani, Pet Wants brand president, added, “Pet Wants is thrilled about the addition of Jessica to our team. As we continue to grow this brand, Jessica’s unwavering dedication to operational excellence and her commitment to supporting our franchisees are key to propelling Pet Wants to new levels of success.”

Riedy is also a dedicated pet parent to two dogs named Wyatt and Lucy, and a mother to a 17-year-old son.
