Jonesboro, AR — (JonesboroRightNow.com) — March 17, 2025 — Dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes are available through area animal rescues and shelters, as well as opportunities to help homeless animals through foster programs, donations, and help with fundraisers and other family-friendly activities.
JRN has partnered with area animal shelters to present “Pets of the Week.” We will feature a handful of animals each week. If interested in adopting or volunteering with the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, go to neahs.org.
Meet Regina George: Regina is a female domestic shorthair cat who is one year and one month old. She’s a dilute tortoiseshell with a cream forehead and nose, and she’s been in the shelter for four weeks. Regina is kitten-sized and affectionate and looking for her new home.
Meet Iris: Iris is a 9-month-old rottweiler mix who came to the shelter a week ago with her sister, Dandelion, and her brother, Clover. She’s 55 lbs and heartworm negative. Iris is an affectionate and calm pup, so she’s quickly becoming one of the staff’s favorites!
