Pets of the Week: Meet Rebel and Domino – Brainerd Dispatch

Rebel is a 5-year-old, 52-pound hound mix here at the shelter that's looking for her forever home. Rebel is a social butterfly in situations with both people and dogs. She loves to play and is always curious about her surroundings. She doesn’t want to miss out on all the good things life has to offer. Rebel is potty trained, looking for a medium-energy household and would love a home on her own or with canine friends. Rebel is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines.

This striking guy is a 3-year-old, 13.6-pound domestic shorthair cat who's all about getting in your face for some attention and snuggles. Domino is an FIV-positive cat, so he lives in the FIV room at the shelter with a couple of his good buddies. He should go to a home with other FIV-positive cats or a home where he is the only cat. He's neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

You can visit Rebel and Domino at the Babinski Foundation from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Fill out an application to adopt them at

babinskifoundation.org

or at the shelter.

Reach the shelter at adoptions@babinskifoundation.org or 218-568-7387. The Babinski Foundation is at 2825 76th St. SW, Pequot Lakes.

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.

Hi, I'm the Brainerd Dispatch. I started working a few days before Christmas in 1881 and became a daily paper two years later. I've gone through a lot of changes over the years, but what has never changed is my commitment to community and to local journalism. I've got an entire team of dedicated people who work night and day to make sure I go out every morning, whether in print, as an e-edition, via an app or with additional information at www.brainerddispatch.com. News, weather, sports — videos, photos, podcasts and social media — all covering stories from central Minnesota about your neighbors, your lakes, your communities, your challenges and your opportunities. It's all part of the effort to keep people connected and informed. And we couldn't do it without support.
