Pets of the Week: Shaggy and Crepe Suzette – Duluth News Tribune

Hi! My name is Shaggy and I'm an 11-year-old looking for a loving home. I'm a handsome and charismatic gentleman that loves chin and head scratches. And not to brag, but I've also got the coolest cut in the cave (lion mane style). I love to lounge and nap in the sun, and will never turn down the occasional catnip. I would do best in a quieter home with mellow humans where we can all relax and live our best lives together.

If you are interested in adopting Shaggy, please visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road, Duluth, or you can call the Adoption Team at

218-722-5341

as early as 10:30 a.m. and place a nonrefundable $25 hold toward their adoption fee to put you first in line to adopt.

Crepe Suzette.

Contributed / Helping PAWS Pet Rescue

Hi everyone. I'm Crepe Suzette and I was named after a French actress who served crepes onstage. Who doesn't love a warm crepe with caramel topping as we get ready for fall? If that name is too much for you, you can call me Suzette or Suzi. Like my brother, Shortstack, I’m a sweet, friendly kitty who loves to sit in your lap, snuggle and purr loudly.

Come meet Crepe Suzette and Shortstack at Helping PAWS Pet Rescue in Washburn or learn more about our other cat friends available for adoption at

Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
