SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Bring your furry friends to raise money for a cause!
The Siouxland Humane Society’s ‘Pets on Parade’ will take place on September 14, at 10 a.m.
At the start of the event, pet lovers will start with a pledge walk at Riverside Park. The shelter says the organization has prizes for the participants who are putting their best foot forward to raise money for the shelter.
“Pets on Parade is an important event for the Siouxland Humane Society as it raises funds for all the amazing things we do here at the shelter!” said the Siouxland Humane Society.
Eventgoers can raise money solo or with a group as a ‘dog pack.’ according to the animal shelter. Participants who raise over $300 will be entered into a raffle to win a prize.
After the walk, participants will also get the chance to enjoy entertainment, pet contests, vendors and a pet zone. Those who stay until the end of the event will be entered into a raffle that you have to be present to win.
The shelter says the parade will take place in rain or sun.
Registration can be accessed at runsignup.com. The shelter also says the provided link is not only to secure your spot for the event but also to begin raising money.
