PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – A Phelps County man and his dog have died after, authorities say, he was using a generator.
According to the Phelps County coroner, he was sent to the home of the 30-year-old man and found the man and the dog had died. The coroner attributed the death to the storm and the use of a generator.
“Please be cautious while using a generator in your home. A mistake that cost the victim and his beloved pet their lives,” Coroner Ernie Coverdell said.
The Doolittle Rural Fire Protection District shared proper generator tips.
