Queen, a 4 1/2-year-old pit mix, is eagerly awaiting a new family at the Craven Pamlico Animal Services Center. Surrendered in January due to her previous owners' inability to care for her, Queen is described as dog social, great with kids, potty trained, and crate trained.
“She just loves to play. She gets the zoomies, and she loves cuddles and pets,” said Erica Bagley from the center. “I think she would do really well in a family home with kids.”
Queen is already spayed, which means she can go home the same day she is adopted. Despite being heartworm positive, her treatment is sponsored, making her adoption fee $62.50.
Potential adopters are encouraged to visit Queen at the center in New Bern during open hours. “She wants to play with you,” Bagley added.
