Meet Quill!

Quill is a handsome six-year-old canine who came to us through our Humane Investigations Department. Quill is a shy guy who takes some time getting used to new people but is slowly gaining confidence with the friends he’s made so far. He would like to be the only dog in the home and would do best in a home with children 13 years and up. He is a very sweet boy who can sometimes be overwhelmed in situations he’s not used to and will take some time to settle into a new home. Once he does, he’s the perfect companion.

But don’t just take our word for it – here’s what his foster mom has to say: “I wanted to let you know that Quill is the easiest dog I have ever had. He is amazing and his smile is to die for! He loves to cuddle with scratches on his chest and tummy. He likes to destroy his stuffies, but even when they are de-stuffed, he continues to play with them. And, best of all, he does not swallow the stuffing! He does not get into things and does not counter surf. In fact, he is rarely underfoot in the kitchen. He has the gentlest mouth – you don’t even realize he took the treat until you see that it’s not in your hand!” “He has wonderful manners – doesn’t get on the couch until he’s told he can. He will sit and knows ‘potty’ and ‘walk’. He prefers to sleep in his dog bed instead of in my bed. He is such a fun dog – always up for a walk and gets the zoomies occasionally. He has such a wonderful personality and is an asset to any home. He is just the best!”

Quill is available for adoption and to foster – if you are looking to help our Animal Friends in other ways. If you are interested in becoming a foster for Quill, please visit our website at https://thinkingoutsidethecage.org/get-involved/foster.
