A dog was seen attacking two police horses in a London park on Monday, April 28, footage from the mounted officers shows. In the footage, the dog can be seen running around the legs of both horses. The officers, named as Sergeant Leon Astley and PC Grace Miller-McCormack, can be heard repeatedly trying to shoo the dog away. The Metropolitan Police said the dog “repeatedly made attempts to bite [the horses’] legs while the owner struggled to get the pet back under control.” The dog was eventually detained when members of the public help to subdue it, police said. The horses, Yvonne and Snaffles, suffered minor injuries and were recovering at their stables. No arrests had yet been made, police said. The dog later returned to its owner.
